DARTFORD COMMUNITY UNIT TRAINING

I am pleased to report that the DARTFORD COMMUNITY UNIT is now trained to seize untaxed vehicles found in public areas, provided they have been untaxed for over two months. While the issue remains a DVLA power and not a Kent Police primary responsibility, we will use when necessary to disrupt crime and remove nuisance vehicles, especially those abandoned by non-local offenders. This will not be use in routine patrols or neighbour disputes; it is strictly for targeted enforcement.
