Darenth Parish Council is once again proud to celebrate VE Day, especially in its 80th year. To mark the ocassion the Parish Council will be flying a commemorative VE Day flag at the St Margaret's Church War Memorial. We would like to say a special thanks to CJ Love, a local wholesale florist based in Darenth, who have supported us in the past. Dan and Matt from CJ Love have supplied planters and Sam from CJS Plants, an array of plants to enhance the ceremonial area. Residents will be pleased that community volunteers have also come forward to maintain the plants and surrounding area.

The Parish Council is delighted that community spirit lives on 80 years later after more than a million people came together in London to celebrate the end of six years of war.

Thank you CJ Love and CJS Plants for your continued support in the Parish of Darenth.
