The current Dartford Town Centre Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) is due to be reviewed before it expires in February 2027. Dartford Borough Council’s Community Safety Unit (DBC CSU) is therefore carrying out a public consultation on whether the current Order should be renewed for the area known as Dartford Town Centre.

No changes are currently proposed to the existing Order. The current Town Centre PSPO can be viewed at:
https://www.dartford.gov.uk/community-safety/public-space-protection-order/2

The questionnaire seeks views on whether the current PSPO continues to be necessary and proportionate in helping to prevent and address anti-social behaviour within the Town Centre area.

The Council believes that the current PSPO, alongside other initiatives and available powers, supports ongoing efforts to curb anti-social behaviour and helps provide an environment where people feel safe to live, work, visit and enjoy the town. We now want to hear from residents, visitors, businesses and other stakeholders located within, or affected by, the boundary of the current PSPO.

I would be grateful if you could complete the consultation and circulate it through your local networks and communities to encourage as many people as possible to take part.

Closing date: 11th October 2026

Thank you for your support in helping us reach a broad and representative range of respondents.
