Working in partnership with Dartford Borough Council, officers from the Dartford Neighbourhood Task Force have been carrying out targeted patrols and enforcement activity to tackle fly-tipping across the borough.

Fly-tipping has a significant impact on our communities, creating an eyesore for residents, harming the environment and costing taxpayers money to clear. By working closely with council enforcement officers, we are identifying hotspot locations, gathering evidence and taking action against those responsible.

During a joint morning of action on 28 October, numerous vehicles involved in the transportation of waste were stopped and checked. While many drivers were found to be operating legitimately and in compliance with waste carriage regulations, one individual was found to have provided a false Waste Carrier's Licence and was subsequently issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice. A further driver was unable to produce a valid Waste Carrier's Licence and was issued with a producer, with enquiries ongoing.

Residents are encouraged to report incidents of fly-tipping and provide any information that may assist in identifying offenders. Together, we can help keep Dartford clean, safe and welcoming for everyone.

If you witness fly-tipping taking place, or have information about those involved, please report it via Kent Police or Dartford Borough Council using the appropriate reporting channels.
