As part of Safeguarding Adults Awareness Week 2026, we’re inviting people across Kent and Medway to join us for a free evening webinar. And we need YOUR help to spread the word!

Stay Safe, Stay Connected: Local Support in Kent and Medway

📅 Wednesday 18 November 2026
🕕 6.00pm to 7.30pm
💻 Online and free to attend

Link: Stay Safe, Stay Connected: Local Support in Kent and Medway

The webinar is open to everyone and aims to help local people find out more about the practical support available within their communities.

Hosted by Annette Martin, Named Nurse for Safeguarding Adults at Kent Community Health NHS Trust, the evening will bring together speakers from Kent Community Wardens, Kent Fire and Rescue Service, Involve Kent and KCHFT Adult Safeguarding.

We'll be talking about:

  • 🏡Community support and how Community Wardens can help residents connect with local services
  • 🔥Home fire safety, including free home safety visits, reducing risks and how to make a referral
  • 💙Support for carers, including who can have a carer's assessment, how to request one and what support may be available
  • 🤝The Triangle of Care and how KCHFT is working to recognise, involve and support carers

There will also be opportunities for attendees to ask questions directly to our speakers.

Please share the webinar with friends and family, local community groups, charities, voluntary organisations, external partners and professional contacts who may be interested, and encourage them to share it within their own networks too.

This is very much a public event, designed to provide straightforward, useful information that could help someone themselves, a family member, friend, neighbour or someone they care for.

The more widely we share it, the more people we can help connect with the support available in Kent and Medway.
